Details: This one-day course covers primary topics from the text Ergonomics for Children:
Designing Places and Products for Toddlers to Teens, as well as new information on child development and child safety.
Speaker: Valerie Rice, Ph.D., CPE, OTR/L, FAOTA is a Certified Professional Ergonomist and an Occupational Therapist.
She recently co-edited the text Ergonomics for Children: Designing Places and Products for Toddlers to Teens.
She previously edited the text Ergonomics in Health Care and Rehabilitation and has authored/co-authored over
100 publications and presentations on topics within ergonomics and health care.
Fee: The course cost is $300 per person. This fee includes a copy of the text co-authored by Dr. Rice, Ergonomics for Children:
Designing Places and Products for Toddlers to Teens. Groups of 10 or more, registering simultaneously, receive a 10% discount.
The fee for full-time students not currently employed is $250; provide a copy of the current student ID and phone number of school
registrar.
Hours for the course: The one-day course meets from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm. Registration begins at 8:30 am. Lunch is on your own.
Dress is informal.
